You can request full deletion of your Evidence Tracker account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how to make that request, what data will be deleted, and how long it takes.
To request account and data deletion, send an email to support@evidencetracker.org with:
That is all we need. You do not need to provide a reason, and we will never ask you to justify the request.
Upon receiving your request, we will permanently delete the following:
Evidence Tracker is a local-first application. The vast majority of your data lives on your device in an encrypted SQLite database, not on our servers. The only user-identifiable data held on our infrastructure is OAuth tokens (required to access Gmail/Drive on your behalf when you initiate a sync), and those are deleted along with everything else.
We retain anonymous, aggregated usage statistics only — for example, "number of users who enabled iCloud sync this month" or "total AI credits consumed across all accounts." This data cannot be linked back to individual users and is not subject to deletion because it contains no personal information.
All data is permanently deleted within 30 days of request. We retain anonymous aggregated usage statistics only, which cannot be linked back to individual users.
We commit to responding to your deletion request within 7 days of receipt, and to confirming completion by email once the 30-day deletion window has closed.
Deleting the app from your device removes the encrypted local SQLite database along with it, including all evidence stored on that device. However, if you had iCloud backup or Google Drive backup enabled, copies of that data may persist in your personal Apple iCloud account or Google Drive under the app-specific folder. To remove those, delete the respective files from your iCloud or Google Drive account directly — we cannot access them.
If you would prefer to revoke Evidence Tracker's access to your Google account without deleting your account, you can do so at any time from your Google Account settings: myaccount.google.com/permissions. This will stop the app from accessing Gmail, Drive, or Calendar but will leave your local evidence data intact.
